He was survived by his wife Florine Masciantonio Mason, son Peter (Stephanie) Mason and a daughter Becky (Mark) Brinich, also three grandchildren; Mason & Nicholas Brinich, and Noah Mason.
Peter graduated from Canisius High School and College. In 1967 Pete moved to Pittsburgh, PA (Peters Township). He was employed by Westinghouse as Head of Corporate Marketing Systems for 35 years. He served on Peters Township Council from 1982 to 1998 and is Past President of Rolling Hills Country Club. Pete's passions were faith, family, golf, trains, reading, running, and racing cars. He enjoyed retirement, splitting time golfing in Peters Township and Innisbrook Florida.
