Returning from a visit to relatives in Northside last evening shortly before 6 o'clock Arthur G. Boyer, aged thirty years, of 41 Bedford Street, Cohoes, was almost instantly killed when he was struck by a southbound Delaware and Hudson train on the trestle spanning the Mohawk River between Northside and Cohoes, He was picked up unconscious, and the train was run to the Cohoes Hospital at the foot of Main Street, where the man was given medical treatment, but he died before he could be taken indoors. He was employed as a shirt ironer for Cluett, Peabody & Co. in this city, and not being employed yesterday afternoon decided to pay a visit to some relatives. He was badly injured about the head, the skull being crushed. Coroner Moise A. Granger was notified, and Dr. William E. Silcocks of Green Island performed an autopsy, Later the remains were removed at the request of the family to the undertaking rooms of Arthur Dufresne on Main Street. Boyer is survived by his wife, three small children, two sisters and four brothers. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church of Cohoes and of the several societies of the church.
