Mistletoe, KY - - Pinnie Baker, 78, passed away at her residence on February 14, 2006 after a long illness. She was a homemaker and attended the Presbyterian Church.
Born on August 14, 1927 in Clay County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Brady Couch Bishop.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Baker; three sons, Jerry Baker, also of Mistletoe, KY, Douglas Baker of Beattyville, KY and Howard (& Mae) Baker of Mistletoe; six daughters, Judy (& A. B.) Couch of Mistletoe; Geraldine (& John W.) Baker, Mildred (& Tim) Howell, both of Dayton, OH; Esther (& Frank) Hatcher of Pikeville, KY, Brenda (& Douglas) Slaughter of Hamilton, OH and Joyce (& David) Hayes of Betsy Lane, KY; and seven grandchildren.
A sister and two brothers also survive, Daisy Coldwell of Dayton, OH, Gilbert Bishop of South Lebanon, OH and Clinton Bishop of Clay County, KY.
Visitation was held from 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, at the funeral home with Rev. Hank Patton officiating. Burial was in the Baker Family Cemetery with Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
