---Henrietta S. Spiess, 94, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 25, 2002, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born July 18, 1907, to the late Louis and Betsy (Vose) Dodderer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death was her husband of 65 years, Walter D. Spiess, who passed away in 1998. Henrietta was a member of the Cass Road Baptist Church, formerly the Second Baptist Church in East Toledo. She was a member of the American Baptist Women's Society, a longtime Sunday School teacher, served on the Board of Trustees and the Diaconate Board at the church. She served on the advisory board of Lotus #20 Rainbow Assembly, and was a member of the Yondota #317 OES.

Reynolds; their children and grandchildren, Gena (Robert) Valloric, son, Joshua; Anita (Jeffrey) Reynolds, son and daughter, Trent and Katrina; Ronald Reynolds, daughter, Calee; brother, Louden Dodderer; sister, Katherine Smothers. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Henrietta valued and treasured the friendship of her neighbors at the North Ridge Estates.
---Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., Oregon, Ohio, on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m., and on Wednesday, from 2-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in North Oregon Cemetery. The family believes Henrietta's wishes would be that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Cass Road Baptist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Henrietta's family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Lutheran Home at Toledo and the staff at St. Charles-Mercy Hospital for the care they both provided to her.
