Son of Joris Janszen Rapalje and Catalyna Trico.
George E. McCracken, "Catalyntje Trico Rapalje", The American Genealogist vol.35 (1959): 35:196.

Jacob Joriszen Rapalje was born on 28 May 1639 at New Amsterdam.
George Olin Zabriskie, "The Founding Families of New Neterland", De Halve Maen Vol. 46, no. 4, Vol. 47 nos. 1 & 2 (1972): part III, page 13-14. Birth dates taken from Geslagt [Geslacht] Register (Genealogical Register), which gives the names and dates of birth van de kinderen of Joris Janse Rappelje (Catalina Trico is not mentioned), a copy of an earlier record, having been written at one sitting by one person. It seems as if the copy was made in the early 18th century.

Riker, Annals of Newtown, p.268 states that he died without surviving issue. This is confirmed by NYGBS Ms.81 which states that he was "omgebragt by hidens" (killed by heathens). Allaben, Ancestry of Leander Howard Crall, gives the date as ca. 1643.
George E. McCracken, "Catalyntje Trico Rapalje", The American Genealogist vol.35 (1959): 35:196. See note 3 on p.200.
George Olin Zabriskie, "The Founding Families of New Neterland", De Halve Maen Vol. 46, no. 4, Vol. 47 nos. 1 & 2 (1972): part III, page 14. He was "killed by the heathens," probably in 1643.

Died 1643 after age 3 in New Amsterdam.
