Carl William Abla II, 58, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on September 23, 1958 in Fortuna, California. He is the son of Carl William and Bonnie Sue (Horton) Abla. He passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Carl made trophies for the Discovery Channel for over four years. He enjoyed fishing, genealogy, football, tinkering in the barn and building things. Carl could do just about anything with his hands. He loved being able to spend time with his family and friends.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints in Clinton, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory are his father, Carl Abla of Elk City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Kelsey Abla of San Francisco, California, Stacie Abla of Altus, Oklahoma; five brothers, Robert Abla of Erick, Oklahoma, Bubby Abla of Elk City, Oklahoma, Wesley Abla of California, Corey Thompson of Hydesville, California, Rodney Abla of Redding, California; two sisters, Binnie Craig of Elk City, Oklahoma and Brenda Arent of Yorktown, Texas; two grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Sue Abla; three brothers, Rocky, Jeff and Russell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rick Choate will officiate. Interment will be at Erick Cemetery in Erick, Oklahoma.
