Crawfordsville resident.
Passed away Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette following a stroke on Monday.

Son of William and Mary Taylor Newlin.
Married Diane Ward Feb. 9, 1970 in Crawfordsville. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Tommy and Christopher Newlin, daughters Traci Claxton and Stacie McClure; granddaughters Natasha and Suzi; sisters Marsha and Angie; many granddogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron Newlin and infant son Brian.

Attended Crawfordsville schools.

He worked for many years at MidStates, then at Sommer Metalcraft and Midwest Bale Ties and was currently mowing at the Oak Hill Cemeteries in Crawfordsville.

He loved to play golf, hunt for golf balls and to fish.

He was an organ donor.

Celebration of Life 4:30-9pm Sept. 15 the Lake Holiday Clubhouse.

Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at the Dialysis Center and the Marie Canine Cancer Center.
