Bowman died at age 78, survived by his wife, Flora Elizabeth (Ownby) Bryant/Parton; son O'Neal Parton (Sevierville, TN); daughter, Carolyn Parton (Sevierville); and three step-children: Charles Bryant (Sevierville), Wilma Owens (Sevierville), and Colleen Parton (Washington).
