Mrs. Caroline, 60, wife of Nels Nelson of Flat Rock, died at 10:25 O'Clock last night at the family home following a stroke which she suffered Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Varmland, Sweden August 19, 1877, and had been living at Flat Rock for the past few years. Previous to that she lived in Milwaukee for 18 years. She came to this country at the age of 11 when her family settled at Carney, and after that lived in Norway and Escanaba before going to Milwaukee.
The survivors include the husband and seven children; Ralph of Milwaukee; Lesley of Gary, Ind.; Emil of Detroit; Percy of Merrill, Wis.; Mrs. Albert Derouin, Flat Rock; Mrs. Walter Harvey and Mrs. James Graham, Milwaukee. There are also two brothers, Emil Osland, Escanaba; Charles Island, Grips; a sister Mrs. Iver Johnson; Chisholm, Minn., 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The body was brought to the Anderson Funeral Home to be prepared for burial, and the arrangements for the funeral will be completed today.
