NORTH LIBERTY - Lloyd A. Abby, 57, of North Liberty, died Thursday at University Hospital in Iowa City. Services will be Monday at Beckman-Butherus Funeral Home in Iowa City, with burial at Coralville Cemetery.
Mr. Abby was born in Hills to Fred and Alta Keimes Abby on May 4, 1914. He was schooled in Hills and lived in Iowa City for about 20 years before moving to North Liberty in 1962. He was employed for many years at National By-Products Co.
He is survived by his wife, Florence, and four sons, Wesley of Tonka, Okla.; Otis of Anna Maria, Fla.; James of Iowa City, and Lloyd Jr. of North Liberty; two daughters, Mrs. Dwayne (Jo) Johnson of Iowa City and Mrs. Bonnie Menasco; 12 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Lehman and Mrs. Blanche McNamara, both of Iowa City. A brother died earlier.
