JOHN WHALEN DEAD
News was received here this week of the death of John Whalen, which occurred at his home in Milwaukee at an early hour Wednesday morning. Mr. Whalen who was for a number of years a resident of this city, was unit­ed in marriage to Miss Leona Aergerter, a former Algoma girl, who sur­vives him. The remains were taken to Fond du Lac today for burial. The deceased while residing here was em­ployed as undertaker at the Perry Undertaking Rooms. The news of his death comes as a shock to the many friends of the family in this city.

Whalen — The funeral of J. E. Whalen was held at 8:40 this morning from the Zacherl chapel and at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's church, Rev. J. J. Collins officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. The bearers were M. O'Connor, J. O'Rourke, W. O'Lauglin and J. McCrory.

See BIO and obit images; is THIS the correct CALVARY cemetery in Fond du Lac? Hope I don't cause anyone needless headstone searching, if not the correct cemetery. Wonder if his wife, Leona Whalen is also buried here? Did she ever remarry?
