Algoma Record, Friday, February 5, 1904: Died At Milwaukee - Mother of J. E. Whalen Passes Away Wednesday
Mrs. Whalen, the wife of T. P. Whalen of Milwaukee, and the mother of J. E. Whalen of his city, expired at the family home in the city of Milwaukee at six o'clock Wednesday evening after an illness of one year. Her death has been momentarily expected since Christmas, when she a taken suddenly worse and has been gradually sinking until the end came Wednesday
Deceased was 50 years of age, and is survived by a husband and three children, Miss Kit. Whalen and Mrs. Jas. Brown of Milwaukee and J. E. Whalen of this city.
The remains were taken to Fond du Lac where the funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's church with interment at the Mt. Calvary cemetery, Rev. Fr. Taugher of that city officiating.
J. E. Whalen departed Thursday morning for the city to attend the funeral.
