Lydia Beck Ralls, first daughter of Captain John, Jr. (-1763) and Margaret Williams Ralls, was born on October 9, 1749, probably in Stafford County, Va. She married in 1764, Captain George Calvert (1744-1821), son of Captain George (1715-82) and Ann Crupper Calvert (c1718-c76), of Culpeper County, Va. He was a captain in the Revolution. They lived in Culpeper County and later moved to Bourbon County, Ky. Their fourteen children were Ralls (1767-1814); Margaret (1770-); George (1771-ante1850); Anne Beck (1773-1835); John (1775-c1850); Lydia (1777-) who married in 1794, George Wheeler; Elizabeth (1779-) who married in 1800, Charles Williams; Catherine (1781-1852); Hannah (1783-1830); Jane (1785-) who married in 1804, George Craver; Sarah (1786-1856); Elijah (1789-d.yng.); Cecilius (1791-1854); and Mariah Calvert (1793-).

Margaret Calvert (1770-) married in 1794, John Adams, in Culpeper County, Va. Their daughters were Mariah (1795-) who married in 1816, her cousin, Nimrod Hambrick, Jr.; and Elizabeth Adams (c1796-) who married c1822, Lewis David Massie (c1795-) and lived in Rappahannock Co., Va. Four children of the latter marriage were Margaret Elizabeth (1824-93) who married her cousin Oliver Hazard Perry Smith (1816-87); Mary Virginia (c1830-); John William who married Mary Cloud; and Thomas Bernard Massie (c1826-) who married Margaret Bragg (c1832-) and had Lewis E. (c1849-), James W. (c1851-) and George W. Massie (c1853-).

Mariah Calvert (1793-) married (1) in 1808, Jacob Meyers, and (2) Nimrod Hambrick. A son by the latter marriage was Nimrod Hambrick, Jr. who married his cousin Mariah Adams (1795-), daughter of John and Margaret Calvert Adams (1770-), noted above.

Lydia Beck Ralls died about 1830 in Harrison County, Ky. Her husband, George Calvert, died May 22, 1821, in Bourbon County, Ky. They are buried ___.
