Departed this life on 21 Nov. 1846, Delilah Leftwich, consort of Jabez Leftwich aged 80 years 8 months and 5 days. She emigrated from Bedford County, Virginia to Madison County, Alabama in 1827 where he resided until Sep. 23, 1846 and then moved to Russell Valley, Franklin County.
Labored under protracted illness 5 or 6 months.....
Joined Presbyterian Church in 1787 and has been an affectionate wife and tender mother..... Left numerous family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
At the time of her death, she was living with her daughter Elizabeth "Betsey" (Leftwich) Drake wife of William Michael Drake.
