Mrs. Belle Henegar Newton, aged 73, widow of Willis I. Newton and daughter of the late Augustus and Mrs. Mary Jane Lewis Henegar, a native of Marion and a resident of this section for 28 years, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H.L. Frazelle and Mrs. John D. Fitzsinger, both of Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Nichols, of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Moultrie Guerry, creator of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
