Died 3:40 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 1992, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was a native of Belcher and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Gilbert Funeral Home, 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Religious services at First Little Rock Baptist Church, 312 S. 17th St., 8 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. W.K. Brooks. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by three daughters, Anita Peterson, Shirley Harris and Evelyn Harris; three sons, Robert Ware, Eddie Ware and D'Autrey Ware; mother-in-law, Lula Lewis; two brothers; three sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; 14 grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Gabe Ware; a grandson, David Harris; a granddaughter, Gabriel Ware; a sister, Anna S. Brown; and an aunt, Emma Cary. She was a member of First Little Rock Baptist Church where she served as secretary of the deaconess board.
