FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR GALBRAITH FAMILY
Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. E. Galbraith and children, of Winnipegosis who perished in a tragic house fire on Dec. 29 were held on Jan. 2. The three children, Sandra, age three years, Gary, age two years and Ronnie, one year old, are survived by one brother, Robert, four years of age.
Mrs. Elmer Galbraith, the former Mary Bratko, was born in Winnipegosis and had lived there all her life except for one and one half years she spent in Churchill. She married Elmer Galbraith in Winnipegosis in 1955. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bratko, and one son Robert; two brothers, Thomas, Churchill; Metodie, Winnipegosis; one sister, Elizabeth, Winnipegosis.
Elmer Galbraith was born in Fork River, and received his education in Birch River. He lived in Thompson for a period of three and one half years and also in Churchill, and the rest of his life he lived in Winnipegosis.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Galbraith; one son Robert; three brothers, Louie, Eddie and Ronnie, Fork River; five sisters, Wilma, Regina, Sask.; Mary, Margaret, Hazel and Jean, of Fork River.
Funeral services were held from the Winnipegosis Ukrainian Catholic church on Saturday, Jan. 2, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. E. Pilkiw assisted by Rev. M. Traszkoma officiated.
Internment took place in the parish cemetery. Sneath funeral service was in charge.
