I was working on Elbridge Jewell and followed him through his life using records etc.I saw that he was indeed married first to Sarah Jane Bonnell and had a daughter named Mary Ann Jewell.(please post this in the bio, it needs to be there, I'll try to find more info on the daughter and see if I can find her stone too). Then I discovered an interesting fact:
According to the 1800 U.S. Census, Elbridge's wife had just died so he hired Lucy A Davis as his housekeeper. She cared for both Elbridge Jewell and his daughter Mary Ann Jewell. Obviously, a few months later, Elbridge remarried - to Lucy A Davis, his housekeeper. Together, Elbridge and Lucy had two children Hiram Elmer Jewell and Fred Charles Jewell. I ask you to please put all of this info on Elbridge's profile in the bio section. Thank you for doing great service for all of us.
