Charles Tiller, a grocery purchasing clerk, died Wednesday at United Medical Center. He was 79. Mr. Tiller was born in Tampa, Fla., and lived in New Orleans for most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mary Treme Tiller, and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Laudumiey Funeral Home, 1225 N. Rampart St. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery No. 3.
