Wenzel E. Tienor, 80, village of Cleveland resident, went home to his Lord, Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at the Sheboygan Senior Community. He was born July 27, 1934, in Town of Rockland, in Manitowoc County, the son of the late Peter and Isabel! Moore Tienor.
On August 13, 1955, Wenzel was united in marriage to Mabel Junk Arends, and the couple resided in the village of Cleveland. Mabel passed away on March 17, 2010. Wenzel was employed for 45 years at the Mirro Company in Manitowoc. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill, and was a very active former member of St. Wendel Catholic Church in Cleveland.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Linda Arends, Plymouth; one grandson, Gregg Arends, California; one step-granddaughter, Kristin (Don) Shepherd, Elkhart Lake; one step-grandson, Shawn DeTroye, Minnesota; three step-great-grandchildren, Kyra, Jaden, and Alaina Shepherd, Elkhart Lake; seven sisters, Rose Ann (Paul) Gintner, Catherine (Llyod) Cook, Arlein (Robert) Werdeo, Theresa (Gerald) Rabe, Judith (Marvin) Kandler, Julia (Charles) Peppard, and Sharon Halbach; one brother, Eugene (Georgine) Tienor; and his four legged companion, Lily. Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, Mabel, step-son, Gene Arends, step-grandson, Douglas Arends, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Halbach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill. Rev. Father Patrick Nelson will be celebrant of the Mass, and private burial rites will be held at a later date at St. George Cemetery in Cleveland. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill, on Friday, January 2, 2015, from noon until the hour of service. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Tienor's name. The Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland is assisting the family with these funeral arrangements. Wenzel's wish was to give a special acknowledgement and thank you for the care, love, laughter and tears that were shared through the years to Danny and Aggie Deehr, and Hummer and Linda Dassler.
