Catherine Scoggins Lambert, 97, of Woodstock, GA passed away October 4, 2017.
Catherine was born in Marietta and lived here most of her life. She was a long-time employee of the Cobb County Finance Department in downtown Marietta and was an active member of the Cobb County Retirees association. Also, a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Marietta, she served as treasurer of her Sunday School class for many years. She was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include sons Richard H. Lambert and his wife Sue V. Lambert of Fort Mill, SC, Brad Lambert and his wife Kay R. Lambert of Seven Devils, NC; daughter Luann Lambert Bryans of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren Stephanie Lambert, Lauren Petersen, Matthew Lambert, Ben Bryans and Catie Bryans; great grandchildren Abby Lambert and Sam Lambert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Lambert and her son-in-law Robert N. Bryans, Jr.

A Graveside Service was held at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. A Memorial Service was held in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Marietta followed by a time of fellowship and refreshment.

In her memory, contributions may be made to Georgia Sheriffs' Association (her father Harry Roedolphus Scoggins was one-time Cobb County Sheriff) or to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta was in charge of the arrangements.
