Grace Ahlers returned to her Heavenly Father after living a full life of 99 years July 1, 2004.
She was born in Tooele, Utah to Alonzo and Deseret Gowans. She married John R. Ahlers in Tooele, Utah, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by her children, Ruth Ballen, Loren (Ellen) Ahlers, Richard (Judy) Ahlers; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Jessie Kottas. Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Janice Grundberg; two grandsons and one granddaughter; three brothers and two sisters.
A viewing will be held Tues., July 6th, 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. Graveside services will be held Wed., 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, with a viewing one hour prior.
