Michael Haddock, age 102, passed away peacefully in Columbus on October 15, 2017. Mike was born in Cleveland on September 24, 1915. He graduated from Shore High School in Euclid. Mike enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1941 and served as a Radio Navigator aboard B-25’s in the Pacific. He was a member of the 7th Air Force, 41st Bomb Group. During his service, Mike witnessed the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan. Upon returning home, he worked as a Tile Setter for 40 years and was active in Local 36, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers. Always active, Mike golfed, bowled and skied well into his 90’s. He leaves behind Elaine, his wife of 71 years, his daughter Jill (Brian) McNaughton, granddaughters Hallie McNaughton and Maren (Ryan) Menders, and soon to be born great granddaughter. Preceded in death are his parents William and Helen Hadyk, brothers John and Steve, and sisters Mary and Julie. Calling hours are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, October 18th at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME on High Street in Worthington. Interment will follow at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Hts.
