Robert's occupation listed as carpenter. In the 1880 Census the Yancey family has moved to Du Quoin, Perry Co., IL., living on Main Street. Robert's occupation Coal Miner. Listed in that census are daughters Rosa age 10, Ella age 3 and son Thomas age 5. Charlotte is not listed in the 1880 Census. Family records indicate that two children died in infancy, Charlotte must have been the first. The second must have occurred between census years, for it does not appear in any census year.
