Jay Barron, 75, a meat cutter, died early Monday, October 25, 1953, in Bath Hospital following a year’s illness.
He was born June 10, 1878, at Mount Morris, the son of Thornton and Emma Sherman Barron. He is survived by his wife Anna Neal Barron; a son, Neal Barron, and daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wittig, both of Rochester; two brothers, Charles of Friendship and Henry of Olean, and a sister, Mrs. Maud Marrow of Perry.
The Rev. S. R. McKinstry of Avoca Presbyterian Church conducted services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Sheppard-Van Patton Funeral Home in Avoca. Burial was in Mount Morris Cemetery.
