Linda Buck Stewart
Linda B. Stewart, 71 of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Linda is lovingly remembered today as a virtuous wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her faithful example of love and service for the LORD extended beyond her family to the many men and women in the US military who came through The Haven Baptist Church in Kunsan, South Korea, where she and her husband labored for nearly 32 years. Her gentle kindness, quiet strength, and joyful spirit created a home-away-from-home that impacted many for Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William “Eddie” Buck and Ola Mae Key Buck; two brothers, Billy Buck and Gerald Buck; and one sister, Doris Warthen.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Bill Stewart; four children, Ruth (Mike) Clevinger, Rebekah (Samuel) Hood, Sarah (Benjamin) Horton and Jonathan (Marie) Stewart; 10 grandchildren, Sarita Horton, Jesse Horton, Wilemina Hunter, Walker Horton, Erin Clevinger, Joshua Horton, Micah Horton, Mercy Stewart, Harmony Stewart and Elijah Stewart; two sisters, Carolyn Mitchell and Gail Parkton; and one sister-in-law, Lucy Buck.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Pensacola Baptist Temple. Burial will follow services in Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jim Taylor, Terri Collier, Mr. Oh, Al Roberts, Kevin Bailey and Tellas Flores. (Alt. Sam Robertson)
