NICHOLSON, Albert 88, of Oak Lawn, IL & Dunedin. Beloved husband of Shirley Wakefield; loving father of Margie Ann Cosgrove (Steve), Chicago, Kenneth Charles, Ft. Lauderdale, Alan (Martine Fanning), Madrid, Spain. Fond and fun grandfather of Makenna Ellen Fanning Nicholson, (12) and Aguste Grant Fanning Nicholson (9); older sister, Helen (Sanford); brother, Harold, and dear twin brother, Robert W. Nicholson, preceded him in death. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Decorated WWII veteran who was in the European Theater. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Funeral services and internment will be held privately. A memorial service will be held in Oak Lawn this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Salem United Church of Christ in Oak Lawn (www.salemoaklawn.com) or the Chicago Shriners Hospital for Children (www.shriners.com).
