One More Marion Pioneer Drops From the Ranks of The Living
Mrs. Elizabeth Redd, relict of the late P.O. Redd, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John A Shmetzer, south of town, at 5 o'clock Thursday evening. Mrs. Redd had been feeble but a couple of weeks and her demise is due to the weakness of advancing years rather than a destroying disease.
Mrs. Redd was past seventy and had resided in Marion and vicinity for more than 50 years. She was the mother of ten children. Nine of these, three sons and six daughters, survive her. She was a kindly lovable woman whose long and exemplary life endeared her to a devoted family and many admiring friends. The funeral will occur from the Smeltzer home Sunday forenoon at 10 o'clock.
