OBITUARY
"Dennis Arcano, 71, died Oct. 11 at St. Luke's Aurora Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI., from complications associated with C.O.P.D. He was born in Stamford, CT., on Nov. 30, 1945 to the late Frank A. Arcano and Mary Buchetto Sarni Arcano. A proud, lifelong member of "The Cove Boys," Dennis attended J.M. Wright Technical High School and served in the Army Reserve before marrying Nancy Rosa on June 24, 1972 at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. He worked for 40+ years as a building engineer at High Ridge Park, where he specialized in HVAC maintenance.

Dennis embraced all that life had to offer, especially Doo-Wop music, classic cars, drag racing, motorcycles, the family dogs, and making memorable moments with his family and friends. He was well known for being the life of the party and had an uncanny knack for making everyone in the room laugh. Wherever Dennis went, he was very well loved and respected but, above all else, he adored his family and was selfless with everything he did for them every single day of his life.

Dennis is survived by the love of his life, his wife; his two loving sons; and two precious granddaughters. Also surviving are two sisters; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by both his parents; his sisters Lena "Dolly" Pennella, Fran Hickey, and Theresa Arcano; his brothers Frank A. Arcano Jr., Michael P. Sarni, Nicholas, Joseph, Anthony, Alfred, and Thomas Arcano; his sister-in-law Marie Sarni; and his brother-in-law, Russ Gladwin.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will be held privately with immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dennis' name to the American Lung Association or VA Connecticut Health Care System, 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT 06516. (203) 937-3814.
