OBITUARY
"ANTHONY DEWEY ARCANO, 91, of Hudson, NH., passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Stamford, CT., Oct. 18, 1919, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Colosi Arcano. Dewey was a graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1939. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in Feb. 1942 and served during World War II as an Airplane Power Plant Mechanic and Gunner in the European Theater. After more than twenty-five combat missions, Sgt. Arcano was honorably discharged in Oct. 1945 and was the recipient of two Bronze Service Stars and an Air Service Medal.

Married May 24, 1947 to Maria Vacca, he made his home in Stamford until moving to Hudson, NH in 1963. While in Stamford, he was employed by Audio Tape Corp. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maria; a son, Dewey Anthony Arcano, of Phoenix, AZ; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and John Hickey of Stamford; a half-brother, Dennis Arcano of Norwalk; a half-sister, Geraldine Boccuzzi of Milford; a stepsister, Lucille Gladwin of Stamford; a stepbrother, Michael Sarni of Trumbull; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Nicholas, Alfred, Joseph and Thomas Arcano; a sister, Theresa Arcano; a half-brother, Frank Arcano, Jr.; and a stepsister, Lena" Dolly" Pennella. All services were held in Nashua, NH with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hudson, NH.
