Thomas Hollis, son of John S. and Bernice A. Hollis, was born near Pella, Iowa, March 29, 1869. He died June 23, 1932 at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 24 days.

He came to Kansas with his parents when he was but a baby and settled on a farm two and one half miles southwest of Delphos. He spent his entire life on this farm until over a year ago when he was taken to the hospital at Minneapolis. After fifteen months of suffering he died in this hospital.

He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, John Hollis of Minneapolis, Kansas; four sisters, Miss Mary Hollis of Delphos, Kansas; Mrs. Etna Brown of Delphos, Kansas; Mrs. Ola Hurtig of Delphos, Kansas; Mrs. Bernice Hurtig of Delphos, Kansas; one aunt, Mrs. E.H. Parkinson, of Delphos; one aunt by marriage, Mrs. Anna Hollis, of Delphos; one uncle, Conley Lowry, who lives in Nebraska; and a number of cousins.

He has many friends among the old settlers of this community, having lived here all of his life.

Funeral services were held in the Smith Funeral Home at Minneapolis Saturday, and burial in the Delphos Cemetery. Rev. E.J. Vaughan conducted the services.
