OBITUARY:

Lois Lea Mixon, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Bedford, Texas.

Graveside service: Saturday March 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Lois was born in Frisco, Okla.* She and William Eugene “Bill” Mixon were married 1946 in Stonewall, Okla., and lived throughout the Southwest. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of others and was a wonderful friend to many. Lois was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Bedford.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Rosa Mae Felkins; husband, Bill Mixon; brother, Lester Felkins; and sisters, Lillie Morin, Mary Spears, Vera Long and Mildred Erickson.

Survivors: Son, Wehlan and wife, Lee; granddaughter, Alexis McKinney and husband, Chris; twin brother, Louis Felkins and wife, Polly; nieces and nephews, Barbara Felkins, Clifford Felkins, David Felkins, Louis Felkins, Mary Felkins, Carolyn Hoyt, Lynn Morin, Phil Long, Dana Dill, Connie Long Wright, Nathan Erickson, Bobby Erickson; dear friend, Colleen Johnson; along with many friends in the H-E-B area.

*Frisco is a "populated place" in Pontotoc County, OK. In other words, it is not an incorporated community. The nearest incorporated community is Stonewall, which is located 3.3 miles to the east.
