Mildred Lucille Erickson 85, was born in Stonewall Oklahoma on December 27, 1925 to Rosa and Noah Felkins. She touched many people throughout her life and has gone home to the Lord February 17, 2011. She moved out to Stockton Calif. in 1945 as a waitress. She met the love of her life Robert Sr. and they married December 7, 1947 and settled in Port Hueneme in 1949. As a young girl mom loved basketball, growing up on the farm, riding horses, being around animals of all types, some of Gods many gifts she learned from the Church of Christ. Her son Robert has written; Mom, hard working, dependable, honest and well respected by her friends and family alike. A leading example for all, especially us kids, that helped shape us tremendously in our lives. Kind and thoughtful, always willing to give a helping hand to one and all regardless of stature or origin. My brother, sister and I were very lucky to have her as a mother and friend. She will be dearly missed b all who truly knew her. She is survived by sons Robert Jr. (Denise), Nathan (Susan), 7 grandchildren Erica, Robert III, Andrew, Burton, Jennifer, Lisa, Andrea and six great-grandchildren. Sisters Lillie Mae and Lois and brother Louis and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Sr., daughter Nancy Kay and sisters Vera and Mary and brother Lester. Mildred clung to the Lords promise Isaiah 43:5 "Fear Not for I am with you". Viewing and Memorial Service will be held at 1p.m., with Graveside Services immediately following on Thursday Feb., 24 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo."
