WOONSOCKET - Alger D. Payne, rural Woonsocket, died Friday at a Mitchell hospital at the age of 68.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist church with the Rev. Paul Jenkins, Mitchell, officiating. Military graveside rite will e conducted by American Legion Post 29.
Active pallbearers will be Leonard Oakley, Clare Ballard, James Evers, Vernon Berg, Melvin Kogel and Donald Druse.
A Masonic service will be conducted Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Basham Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral Home Sunday afternoon or evening and Monday morning. The casket will be open at the church one hour before the service.
