Shimer Funeral Monday.
Monday at 10 o'clock A. M., at the Tocsin church, was held the funeral of Mrs. Obediah Shimer, aged 65, who passed away Friday evening , after a lingering illness extending over a period of two years, dating from a stroke of paralysis, which rendered her an invalid.

The funeral services were in charge of the Rev. Byerly of the pleasant Dale church and interment was in the Tocsin cemetery. Mrs. Shimer was a devout member of the Dunkard church.

Mrs. Susannah Robinson Shimer was born June 5, 1847, in Richland county, Ohio, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret Robinson, and was married to Obediah Shimer in 1867, moving to Wells county five years later. Since that time they have made their residence near Tocsin. Besides the husband, six daughters and one son survive her. They are, Mrs. Joe Richey, of Three Rivers, Mich.: Mrs. Almede Steele, of this city; Mrs. Mat Briner, of Decatur; Mrs. Jacob Barger, of Magley; Mrs. Ernest Vananda, of Ossian; Mrs. Mary McCague, of Echo, and the son, Charles, at home. Six children, who have passed away in recent years are Mrs. Ella Smalley, whose death occurred last week in Paulding, O.; Margaret, Florence, Edith, Asa and Walter. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. J. McDaniels, of Richland county, Ohio, also survives her.
