Matilda was born in Lewisville, Texas, to the late William and Hattie (Gollnick) Oehlke. She was raised and educated in Flower Mound. She married Charles Holt and had lived in Bosque County since 1947. In 1971, she married Calvin Douglas McFadden in Morgan, living on the farm between Morgan and Lakeside Village. Mrs. McFadden was an active and faithful member of the Morgan First Baptist Church for years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles, in 1965; and her second husband, Douglas, in 2002.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ruth Holt, of Whitney, Linda Ann Williams and husband, Charles, of Meridian; son, Rickey Eugene Holt, of Mesquite; grandchildren, Terry Harper, Sharon Dunn, David Williams, and Angela Moore; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Moore and D.J. Williams; niece, Nelda Thompson, of Colleyville; nephew, Jimmy Smith, of Tomball; and a number of other relatives and many friends.
