Kate Dickson Adams of Floral Park, formerly of this village died in a Hollis Nursing Home January 2 after a month of illness.
Mrs Adams was born her June 6, 1882, the daughter of Silas and Alice Overton Hand. She had lived in Hollis for twenty-one years. Prior to that time the family lived on Elizabeth Street.
Surviving are daughters Mrs Helen Randell of this place, Mrs Alice Reardon of West Babylon and a sister Mrs Mae Havens.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and members of Mishannock Chapter conducted a service January 4 at 7:30 pm at the Yardley and Williams Funeral Home here. There was a funeral service Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm with the Rev C Harold Dever of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery. acting as pallbearers were Charles Young, Melvin Dickinson, Carlton Havens and Kenneth Bradford.
