Our Angel, Mother and Nanny, Luana Conley Ledbetter, left this earth in the afternoon of Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the age of 96 years old. Leaving the ravages of Alzheimer's Disease behind her, she joins her Mother, Vera "Honey" Oates; her Husband of 58 years, Rev. Frank A. Ledbetter; Brother, Willard Conley; Granddaughter, Kimber Everage; and Son-in-Law, Larry J. Shelton. Surviving her, are her Daughters, Pamela B. Yeager and Cyndra L. Shelton, both of Shreveport; Granddaughters, Robbin Yeager and Fred Feldmann of Acworth, GA; and, Regina Yeager-Kanapkey and husband Brian of Chapel Hill, NC; Great Granddaughters, Christina Weber and Husband Brad, of Rocky Mount, LA; Ashley Everage of Shreveport, and Abby Everage Williamson and Husband Landon and their Father, Byron Everage, of Mansfield, LA; and Hannah Luana and Molly Lynn Kanapkey; and Great-Great Grandsons, Matthew Astor Thomas Farmer of Rocky Mount, LA; and Westin Reed and Wyatt Lee Williamson.

Mrs. Ledbetter was born February 23, 1921. She spent her childhood years growing up on the West Coast. Somehow, she ended up in Henderson, TX, where she met our sweet Father. Her career with Sears and Roebuck, from which she retired, spanned over a period of 40 years. She loved her life in the country, but most all, she loved her life in the Lord, working as a dedicated preacher's wife and Sunday School teacher. When she said, "Honey, it's going to be all right", we knew that was coming from years of Faith in her Lord. Our Mother and Nanny was the most influential person of all in our lives, and for that, dear Lord, we are so thankful to have had her as "the perfect" role model. I know that she will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Mansfield Rd. will be held at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Graveside services are to be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Park, with Rev. Donald Bush officiating.

For anyone affected by this dreaded disease, all our prayers are with you and your families. Without the Lord on our side, it's difficult to imagine how to get through. Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer or came to sit for our sweet Mother/Grandmother. Thanks to all the CNA's at Stratmore who cared for, fed or helped our Mother/Grandmother in any way maintain her dignity throughout this illness. We could not have done what you did. Be showered with God's Blessings!
