William Joel Barker was born March 15, 1949 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Mary (Steele) and Aldred Barker. He passed away on November 17, 2017 in Kinta, Oklahoma at the age of 68. William retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his boys. He was proud to be a Choctaw. He was known as a caretaker to his family. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robin Dahl Barker; and his parents. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Mallory Chapel in Stigler, Oklahoma with Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Sans Bois Cemetery in Kinta, Oklahoma. Military Honors provided by Stigler VFW Post #4446.
