On 13 April 1732 Jacob Hansen conveyed to Hans Jacobsz Bergen for £1,350, 200 acres in Brookland, bounded easterly by land of Jores Bergen and the Mill Creek to the River; southwesterly by said river; northwesterly by land of Rem Remsen and Jores Bergen, excepting a certain piece of meadows formerly sold to Michiel Hanalle, and further a certain piece of meadow of ten acres joining northeasterly upon the meadow of Aeltje Sebering aforesaid, south by a certain creek, southerly by the Graver's Kill so called, and northwesterly by the river. Also two lots of woodland in the second division of Brookland woodlands, containing 10 acres each (nos. 60 and 61). The conveyance sets forth that Jacob and his wife, Elsje, "by and with consent of all their children, by name, Frederick Bergen, Jacob Bergen Junr., Johannes Slecht, and Catrina, his wife, Gisbert Bogaert Junr., and Marretje, his wife, Jan Croesen, and Breckje, his wife, Hendrick Croessen, and Elsje, his wife, Derick Croesen, and Cornelia, his wife, testified by their being parties to the ensealing and delivery hereof, etc."
