"David Coughlin, 82 years old, died Saturday at his home, 902 Oakley Street. He was born in Canada, November 1, 1842, and married Miss Lucy Blundian there January 6, 1869. After marriage they lived in Canada until 1880, when they came to Saginaw. Mr. Coughlin was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, of SS. Peter and Paul's Commandery No. 188, Knights of St. John, and of the Holy Name Society. He leaves his wife, and one son, John Coughlin; and one grandson. He also leaves four brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Moran; Mrs. Mary McCarthy; John H.; and William Coughlin, all of Saginaw; Mrs. John Baker, Bay City; Michael Coughlin, Duluth, MN; and Patrick Coughlin, St. Louis, MO.
The funeral will take place at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning from the home, and at 9 o'clock from the SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Francis B. Brogger will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery."
