Marian A. Longenecker Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg
Marian A. Longenecker, 91, of 473 King St., Petersburg, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born May 29, 1926, in Allensville, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of William and Rebecca (Taylor) Kennedy. She was united in marriage to Edwin Longenecker May 28, 1945. Mr. Longenecker survives at their home.
Mrs. Longenecker is survived by two daughters, Gloria Jean Baney and husband, Gordon, of Petersburg, and Dee Ann Dowling and husband, Tom, of Pine Grove Mills; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Doris Wilson of Belleville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Frazer; a brother, Eldon Kennedy; and sisters, Lorena Myers, Marie Chop, Ruth Jones and Helen DeForrest.
Mrs. Longenecker was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg.
She was active in the Petersburg Community Development Association.
Mrs. Longenecker retired after 18 years of employment as a receptionist at Mead Products, Alexandria, now ACCO Brands.
She enjoyed baking and tending her flowers, especially her roses. Mrs. Longenecker loved spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg, with the Rev. Jennifer Soltis officiating. Private interment will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon.
