Mrs. Mary Shoemaker died at her home on East Pitt Street, Bedford, Wednesday night, April 9, at 11 o'clock, aged 85 years, eight months and two days. The cause of her death was paralysis. Mrs. Shoemaker was a daughter of Jacob and Mary Bollinger and was born in Bedford, August 7, 1827. She was married to Job Shoemaker, who died nine years ago. For over eleven years she was totally blind. For many years she was an earnest member of the Reformed Church and was a regular attendant until blindness prevented her going about. She is survived by one brother and two sisters: George Bollinger of Bedford, Mrs. Charlotte Stiver and Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher of Altoona. Services at the late home, Rev. J. Albert Eyler officiating with interment in the Bedford cemetery.
