Born in the German partition of Poland, a daughter of Wawrzyniec and Jozefa (nee Switala) Cywinski. Immigrated in 1886.

Wife of Stanislaw "James" Nowak (sometimes spelled Novak; 1878-1930), who Frances wed in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Baltimore, on 12 January 1903.

Mother of Josephine (Dobrzykowski), William, Agnes, Bertha (Leiben), Louis, Stanley/James, Lawrence, Rita (Dondalski), and Marie (Mezzanotti).

NOWAK. - Suddenly, on June 13, 1947, FRANCES (nee Cywinski), beloved wife of the late Stanislaus Nowak.

Funeral from her late residence, 202 South Castle street, on Tuesday morning at 8.15. Requiem Solemn High Mass at St. Stanislaus Church at 9 o'clock. Interment in St. Stanislaus's Cemetery.
