Born in the Prussian/German partition of Poland, son of Wawrzyniec (= "Lawrence" in English) and Jozefa (nee Switala) Cywinski.

Husband of Mary Rogacki Cywinski, whom Andrew wed in Nanticoke's St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church circa 1891-1892.

Father of Stanley, Joseph, Theodora "Dora", Roman "Raymond", Bernard, Stefania "Sarah" (Brodzinski), Clara (Mulhern), Valentina, and Albina (Romanowski).

Andrew, a long-time resident of Nanticoke, was a coal miner.

His family residence was at the corner of Union and Market streets in Nanticoke.

Andrew Cywinski

Andrew Cywinski, aged 63, died last evening at 6:30 at the family home, Union and Market streets, Nanticoke, following an illness of complications. Deceased was born in Poland and had resided at Nanticoke for forty years. He was affiliated with St. Stanislaus, St. Andrew's, St. Francis' and Polish Union lodges and served as president of all of these organizations.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Josephine Cywinski; his wife and the following children, Dora of Ashley; Clara, Albina, Mrs. Stanley Brodeinsky [sic; correctly Brodzinski] of Nanticoke; Bernard and Joseph of Baltimore, Md.; also the following sisters, Mrs. Levandowski [sic; correctly Lewandowski], Mrs. Wisniewski, Mrs. Nowak and Mrs. Archik [sic; correctly Arczyszewski a.k.a. Arczyk] of Baltimore, Md.

The Wilkes-Barre newspaper obituary states that Andrew died when age 63, though, as he was born in the month of November, age should have been 62 if the 1865 tombstone inscription birth year is correct.
