Alex Andrews was the son of Daniel and Mary Hunter Andrews and lived in Morgan Co N C in 1790 census. He moved on to Ky by 1813 when his father died and left his will in Wayne Co KY. He married Sally/Sarah Kent in 1814 and served with Gen. Andrew Jacksons army in the Battle of New Orleans. He moved to Greene Co IN by 1830s with a sister, and her husband Ann and John Hunter. Alex died about 1830 and was buried with Hunter relatives but Sally died 40 yrs later and was buried at Walnut Grove Cem. His descendants remain in the area into the 2000's.
