Obituary - Charles Kratchman, 76, of 389 Griffin Road, South Windsor, died Wednesday evening at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Austria. Mr. Kratchman was a retired employee of the Gilbert Clock Corp. of Winsted and had been a Winsted resident for 15 years. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Doris Grenier of South Windsor and Mrs. Blanche Gonella of Mystic; two brothers, Fred Kratchman of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Robert Kratchman of Winsted; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Dewey of St. Petersburg Mrs. Anna Schoendorf of Winsted, Mrs. Mary Schoendorf of Long Island, N.Y., and Mrs. Barbara Patenaude of Honolulu, Hawaii; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Maloney Funeral Service, 55 Walnut Street, Winsted, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Wallace K. Reid, Church of Christ, Baptist Congregational, of Winsted, officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Winsted. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.
