William was born in Golden Colorado where his father, Robert DeShazer, was hauling hay and oat, and where he also had purchased a hotel and stable. William only lived one month. It is not know where he was laid to rest, since the family returned to Kansas after living in Golden for eighteen months, due to Perthenia, his mother, not feeling well.
