She was born October 15, 1924, in Sedalia, the daughter of the late Earl C. and Eva Baughman Cline. On February 12, 1943, in Sedalia, she was married to Alexander J. Gates, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandi Halpin and husband William, of Seal Beach, CA, Joyce Holloway and husband David, of Beggs, OK; a son, Alex Gates and wife Pamela, of Blue Springs, MO; four grandchildren, Kevin Halpin and wife Marilyn, of Seal Beach, CA, Robert Stewart and wife Andrea, of Claremore, OK, Angela Williams and husband Bryan, of Okmulgee, OK and Caitlyn Gates, of Blue Springs, MO; and eight great-grandchildren, Amanda, Kelli, Mathew, Blaine, Summer, Stormy, Brylee Jean and Dylan.
