Born in New York, Amanda was the daughter of John S Fulton (see link) & Nancy A née unknown (born c. 1788 MA, died 25 May 1873, Paris, Union Co., OH, not on FAG).
By 1850 their family was living in Paris Township, Union Co., OH & the following year, on May 29th, she married Benjamin F Stillwell, son of Joseph Stillwell (1786-1845) & his first wife Sarah Claypole (who died when Benjamin was very young). Benjamin & Amanda had two daughters: Alma Cornelia & Celestia Flora.
After her husband’s death in 1891 Amanda & her daughter Celestia moved west to live with her daughter Alma’s family in Saint Charles, IL but died just two years later.

Of her daughters:
1). Alma Cornelia née Stillwell Thompson Corbit Elliott (see link)
2). Celestia Flora née Stillwell Clark (1854 (or earlier)- 1943, #81895173). There is limited census info available. In 1900 she was working as an attendant at the Illinois Northern Hospital for the Insane in Elgin, IL (the census lists her as significantly younger). Presumably she returned to Ohio in the early 1900’s. She married late in life, first to #1 the widower Henry Clark on May 11th, 1904, Fayette Co., OH. The couple appear on the 1910 Fayette County census (“Celletha F” 1848 OH). Henry, born 1837, died in 1919 & Celestia went to live with her niece Marie née Thompson Williams & her husband Frank in Elgin, IL (the 1920 Elgin census lists Celeste F 1855 OH). She married a second time (sometime between 1923-30) to #2 the widower Spencer Cotting. Celestia F Cotting (1856 OH) is listed with Spencer on the 1930 Elgin, Kane Co., IL & 1940 Richmond, McHenry Co., IL census.
